About LoveTree Alchemy
LoveTree Alchemy is a small-batch botanical practice based in Kula, Maui.
We make preparations rooted in direct relationships with Maui farmers, hands-on production, and a commitment to showing the work behind each batch. We do not ask customers to trust a label. We show the plants, the people, the equipment, and the process.
Our first preparation is a Turmeric, Tulsi & Ginger Maui Honey Spagyric — a concentrated botanical honey made through a traditional whole-plant process called spagyrics. It is crafted in small quantities, in Maui, with source material we can trace and vouch for.
Meet Ray
Ray Lovetree leads the work at LoveTree Alchemy.
He is based in Kula, Maui, where he works with local farmers, family, and a small circle of people who care about where things come from and how they are made. Ray came to botanical craft through a long interest in traditional plant knowledge, whole-plant preparation, and the kind of work that requires patience and attention.
Ray is not trying to build an anonymous wellness brand. He is building a small, visible practice rooted in place, plants, relationships, and careful work. His hope is simple: that the people who use LoveTree preparations can see where they came from, understand how they were made, and feel connected to the hands and land behind them.
Why Source Material Matters
Most botanical products begin with dried herbs or bulk extracts sourced from distant suppliers. The origin of the plant material is rarely visible, and the story of how it was grown, harvested, and handled is rarely told.
At LoveTree Alchemy, we believe source material is everything. The quality of a preparation begins long before any extraction or distillation. It begins in the soil, with the people who tend it, and with the decisions made at harvest.
We work through direct relationships with Maui farmers. We know the farms. We see the conditions. We stay involved from the field through the finished jar.
Made in Small Batches in Maui
Every batch is made by hand, in small quantities, in Kula, Maui.
Small batches mean more attention. They mean the person who made the preparation can account for every step. They mean we are not optimizing for volume — we are optimizing for care.
We use modern equipment — rotary evaporators, precise temperature controls, laboratory glassware — because accuracy matters. But the scale stays small by choice. That is how we maintain the kind of accountability we believe a botanical preparation deserves.
Family, Farmers, and Community
LoveTree Alchemy is not a solo operation in isolation.
The work is supported by Maui farmers who tend the plants, family members who show up when it matters, and a community of people in Maui who believe that small, honest, place-based craft is worth doing.
We are grateful for the farmers market community that has supported this work from the beginning. Those early conversations — with people who wanted to know what they were buying and why it was made the way it was — shaped how we think about transparency and trust.
