Source Material Is Everything
LoveTree Alchemy begins with a simple belief: the quality of a preparation is shaped by the quality of what it begins with.
For our Turmeric, Tulsi & Ginger Maui Honey Spagyric, that means staying close to the plants, the farmers, and the place they come from. We work through direct relationships with Maui farmers, and we stay involved from harvest through preparation, transformation, and the finished jar.
We do not ask customers to trust a mysterious wellness brand. We show the plants, people, equipment, and hands-on work behind the batch.
Direct Relationships with Maui Farmers
The plants we work with are not anonymous commodity ingredients. They come through real relationships with people who know their land and care for what they grow.
That relationship matters. It gives us a deeper connection to the soil, weather, harvest timing, and living context behind each preparation. It also keeps the story of the product honest: real farms, real plants, real hands, and real work.
Harvest and Preparation
Each batch begins with plant material selected and prepared with care.
After harvest, the plants are cleaned, sorted, chopped, and dried or prepared according to the needs of the batch. This early work is quiet, physical, and important. Before any extraction or distillation begins, the material has already passed through many hands and many decisions.
Extraction
Extraction is one way we draw botanical qualities from the plant material.
At LoveTree, this step is approached slowly and carefully, with attention to time, temperature, and the character of the plants. The goal is not to isolate one impressive ingredient. The goal is to work respectfully with the plant material as a whole.
Distillation
Distillation captures the aromatic side of the plants.
Through heat, vapor, cooling, and collection, the more fragrant aspects of the botanicals are separated and preserved. This is one of the most visible parts of the process, and one of the reasons we love showing the work: copper, glass, steam, scent, and plant material all moving through transformation.
Fire and Mineral Salts
In spagyric tradition, the remaining plant material is not simply discarded.
It is carefully calcined through controlled fire, reduced to ash, and refined into purified plant mineral salts. This stage takes patience and attention. It is one of the parts of the process that makes a spagyric preparation different from a simple extract.
Separation and Reunion
The word spagyric points to a process of separation and reunion.
Different aspects of the plants are worked with separately: botanical extract, aromatic essence, and mineral salts. After each part has been prepared, they are brought back together with local honey.
This creates a rich botanical honey rooted in turmeric, Vana tulsi, ginger, Maui sourcing, and hands-on craft.
Ancient Knowledge, Modern Equipment
LoveTree Alchemy stands between old and new.
The work is inspired by traditional plant alchemy and whole-plant practice. It is carried out with modern equipment, careful observation, and a practical respect for cleanliness, consistency, and recordkeeping.
The goal is not to make the process mysterious. The goal is to make it visible.
Made by People
This preparation is not made in an anonymous factory.
Ray Lovetree leads the work in small batches in Kula, Maui, supported by Maui farmers, family, helpers, and the relationships that make each batch possible. The process is hands-on because accountability matters. When you know who made something, where it came from, and how it was handled, the product becomes easier to trust.
